With extensive experience in new school start-ups and improvements worldwide, Martin excels in transforming educational institutions globally. He has launched schools and led projects in 12 countries / 4 continents, covering diverse curricula like American, British, Canadian, and blended approaches.

acumen.
Martin helps schools broaden student bodies, enhance practices, modernize environments, and cultivate a joyful school climate while fostering a global perspective. Being Canadian, he understands multiculturalism and globalization, having worked in various regions worldwide.
Martin is also a certified Black Belt Martial Arts Instructor and an active member of the Ontario Early Years Centre Parent Advisory Committee, focusing on promoting youth’s physical and emotional growth.

Ethos Education is an educational consulting firm that provides strategic planning and support services to schools around the world. The company is run by Martin Doherty, who has over 20 years of experience in the education sector. Doherty is a well-respected international school leader who has worked in a variety of roles, including as a teacher, head of school, and director.Ethos Education’s services include curriculum development, teacher training, school leadership development, and marketing and recruitment support.
The company has a particular focus on international schools, and works with school owners, operators, and leaders to improve educational outcomes for students. As an educational professional with a passion for character and leadership development, I am dedicated to instilling core values and a strong moral compass in students. I believe in a holistic approach to education that nurtures every aspect of a student’s potential, including their intellectual, emotional, social, physical, artistic, creative, and spiritual growth.
I am driven by a personal mission to equip students with the skills and confidence they need to not only be responsible citizens, but also leaders who can make a positive impact on the world. I understand the importance of engaging students in the learning process and fostering personal and collective responsibility.
